Humanitarian Needs

The Humanitarian Service Room is in need of fabric to cut into squares for quilt kits. Their supplies have been depleted with the increasing demand for quilts in our area as well as quilts that are distributed around the world. Please invite your ward RS Presidents to let their sisters know of this need. If anyone has fabric they would like to donate ask them to bring it to the Humanitarian Service Room or any of the Deseret Industries drop-off locations. If they are using one of the DI drop-off locations, please remember to specify on the bag or box the fabric is for the Humanitarian Service Room.

Some of our humanitarian aid is donated to the International Refugee Committee and the Refugee Resettlement Agency on a local basis. At present they are in need of disposable diapers sizes 1-4 for babies. If anyone feels they would like to donate a package of diapers, please ask them to drop the diapers off at the Humanitarian Service Room. Generic brand diapers are most welcome. Also, local agencies that are given humanitarian aid in our area are always in need of hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, lotion, toothpaste, etc. Please offer this invitation to drop-off any of these items as well at the Humanitarian Service Room.

Remember, Service Room hours are Tu-Th, 10:00 am - 2 pm. Anyone who wishes to donate their time serving there are most welcomed on any day they are open. We know this request for these materials and supplies will come with great effort and sacrifice, but whatever is contributed is certainly appreciated and recognized in many ways.
